Whenever a couple repeats their vows at a wedding, I can't help but think back to my own. Standing there, making promises. It's impossible to see what's in the future and the predict the unusual circumstances that will test those sacred vows. But as the years go by, and the promises ring true despite the bills, the inconveniences, the doldrums, those vows become sweeter and each word holds meaning. Steven and Talitha celebrated 10 years in Hawaii, and the tears in their eyes and the words between them were evidence that marriage wasn't always easy, but it was always worth it.

There is something rather magical about an elopement ceremony. Two people, completely alone in the universe, pledging their lives and their love to each other. Keili and Mark planned their whole wedding in the space of 24 hours, and it made for some spontaneous, beautiful moments between them. No stress, no deadlines, just a walk in the sand followed by words of love. Keili and Mark, if the smiles on your faces are any indication, you are sure to have a lifetime of happiness. Don't you wish every man had the foresight to hire a photographer when he proposed? I was so excited to help Steve when he called me up and wanted to plan a surprise proposal to Tatiana on their first night in Hawaii. I don't know if he was more nervous, or if I was! I hid myself in a giant naupaka bush and waited for them to walk down the beach trail. It was a perfect night, with the sun just beginning to set and long shadows starting to fall.
